Tribute to our friend Adrian Rugina.

Wednesday, 04 November 2015

We are deeply saddened and shocked to hear that our friend and fellow musician Adrian Rugina died in the Bucharest nightclub fire last Friday. He was a kind and courageous man and no words can really describe the feeling of loss right now.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences to his family on what can only be described as a true tragedy.

He lived as a Heavy Metal Warrior and died as he lived, always helping others, a true hero!

The band are stunned that such an error can occur, and can only apologise on behalf of Peaceville Records for this mix up.

NEW PROMO VIDEO for the forthcoming album "Feel The Misery" will be released tonight at midnight UK time.

Saturday, 12 September 2015

The video is for the album title song "Feel The Misery". It will be available through our YouTube Channel “Towards The Sinister” click the Youtube link at midnight.

The album is due for release on the 18th of September.

Aaron Stainthorpe offers some insight here to the thoughts behind it.

"Using 'The Raft of Medusa' by French romantic painter Théodore Géricault as visual inspiration as well as taking cue's from the bands own bleak and foreboding music, My Dying Bride's latest video is a harrowing tale of tragedy and loss.

Filmed on the Pembroke coast of South Wales and in particular, St. Govans Chapel, the scenes were set to play out the narrative as vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe takes the role of a lone musician and poet who stumbles upon a fallen maiden while combing the seascape for curiosities.

Clearly the victim of a recent shipwreck, she is gathered up and removed to a suitable, sombre resting place, all the while the mournful 'Feel The Misery' plays alongside, marrying the rich visuals with the melancholic song”.
